Sustainability

As a leading dairy company, we recognized our responsibility to take part in the sustainability of the company’s business model, i.e. how our products and services contribute to sustainable development. We place great importance not only in growing our business but also to increase our positive contribution for the environment and social impact especially for the future.

Environment & Energy

We recognize that the world’s energy is in crisis due to the limited natural resource supply whilst demand continues to increase. Thus we believe it is part of our responsibility to partake in the sustainable development of energy, water and waste. An example for an initiative we have implemented is utilizing natural lighting from transparent roofs, windows and doors. For areas that cannot be reached by natural light, we use energy-efficient LED lamps. Going forward, ongoing projects to automate our conveyor, which will automatically stop if there is no production ongoing and automatically reset water flow with a timer would be introduced. For production purposes, we also use well infiltration to keep the water supply always accessible. We reduce waste from our production activities by decreasing the usage of plastic material. Now we are working on reducing organic waste in the waste water treatment system where its byproduct can be used as a recovery product in the next production process.

Local Economic Development

We have been passionate in serving up nutritious and fresh dairy products to all Indonesian consumers from 6000 Indonesian local farmers. We provide training and socialization to increase the productivity and quality of milk produced from our farmers. We believe that not only would we be able to contribute to a healthier and happier Indonesian society as they consume our products, but also improving the livelihoods of our local farmers as we raise their standards of living. We use that spirit to keep innovating and serving up the goodness of milk through our nutritious and delicious products.

Community Development

Looking back at Cimory’s journey, Cimory was first founded with a social mission in mind, where the founder was highly passionate in helping farmers in Cisarua Bogor to sell their fresh milk. Based on this awareness, Cimory then first introduced milk products such as pasteurized milk and yogurt with milk purchased from these farmers. This need and compassion to help others in the community also drove the initiation of the Miss Cimory program. We have seen many families still living under the minimum living standards, and we believe we can provide with the tools to upskill and improve their living standards. Focused on women empowerment for Indonesian housewives, we believe the Miss Cimory Program could be a solution to resolve the vicious circle of poverty.

Miss cimory has 3 main missions which are, firstly in providing best nutrition for Indonesians through high quality products from Cimory, directly delivered to their homes. Secondly, in helping Indonesian women namely housewives become empowered. Thus they will be able to improve their income and quality of life. Lastly, supporting Indonesia’s government program which looks to develop and empower a skillful and an intelligent society.

Cimory’s commitment to create the Miss Cimory program remains sustainable by the establishment of over 130 Cimory centers that are located all across Java island, Bali and Sumatera. Now, there are over 4,000 women that have joined the Miss Cimory program. Cimory Center has played a huge role in the development of their members, because in this center Miss Cimory will be able to share their experiences and nurture each other. To them, the Cimory center has become their second home.
